 Okaaaaay.. Since im a bass guitar player, let me just give a review on my own AXE! Cort Artisan A4. Here you go, Pictures!

Every bass guitar player has their own style of playing and their own taste of tones. So they look for a bass guitar which is able to produce the “best” sound for themselves. Often, one bass guitar is not able produce all the type of sounds that he/she wants, which is why they have more than one bass guitars. Oooh Yeaa (winks).
These are few comments on the super quality of the Beast :

1. Neck-through construction – Gives the bass guitar a longer sustain. It also lets bassist to easily reach out to higher frets. FEEL a thru-neck constructed guitar if you haven felt it! By the way, you simply cannot find a bass guitar with a neck-through construction at this range of price because neck through bass guitars need bigger pieces of wood.

2. Bartolini MK-1 Electronics (Active/Passive) – It comes with a Master Volume Knob, Pickup Blend Knob and have 3 Active EQ controls(bass, middle, treble), allowing you to experiment with the tones until you find the right one! Did you notice that there is a mini toggle switch sitting right between the knobs? Wondering what is it? It's active/passive switch! Uh huh! allowing you to switch off from active mode to passive. The reason for the toggle switch is, bassist gets to choose on which mode they want to play with, as passive pickups gives a much warmer and muddy tone and also saves the battery. BUT! you cant play around with the EQ's. For alot of bassist out there, this feature is very useful to them. Why? Imagine this, if you are on stage, playing with ur Active Bass, suddenly, PooF! the bass just isn't working, and you will think, Okay.. It's the battery, let me change it. And you find out that you don't have extra battery! Gosh.. this will be embarrasing, but NO WORRIES if you're using this Mama Beast! Flick the toggle switch to passive mode! TA-DA, there you go! and the crowd continues to cheer. (Wooo hooo)

3. Upgraded Hipshot Bridge & Machine Heads - This beast is built with Hipshot products. Well, the hipshot transtone bridge gives bassist two options, whether they want to set the strings with string thru body or like the normal string on the bridge. Strings that are set thru body gives the bass a better sustain.

So, for players that need a premium and affordable bass, The A4 is a clear choice. This bass is retailed around Rm2200. Great price for a great bass!
